How do I know if I actually need more RAM?
Open Task Manager, go to the Performance tab and watch Memory while you work normally. If usage sits above roughly 80 percent and the 'In use' figure is close to your total, you are short on memory and adding RAM will help. If memory sits at 50 percent and the disk stays pinned at 100 percent, your storage is the problem, not RAM.
