Will an SSD make my old laptop fast again?
On any machine where the hard drive is the bottleneck — which is most laptops made between 2011 and 2019 — yes, dramatically. Boot goes from over a minute to roughly fifteen seconds and the machine stops freezing while opening applications. It does not increase gaming frame rates or speed up video export; those depend on the CPU and GPU.
SATA SSD or NVMe — which should I buy?
Buy whichever your laptop physically accepts. If the machine has an NVMe M.2 slot (broadly 2016 onward), NVMe at ₹3,999 for 512 GB is the better value per gigabyte. Older machines take a 2.5-inch SATA SSD at ₹2,299 for 256 GB, and the real-world difference between the two in everyday use is small — both feel instant next to a hard drive.
Can I keep both the SSD and my old hard drive?
Often yes. Many laptops have an M.2 slot plus a 2.5-inch bay, and on some models we can replace the optical drive with a caddy. Windows goes on the SSD, your files stay on the hard drive. We confirm what your exact model supports during the free diagnosis.
Do I lose my data during an SSD upgrade?
No. We clone the existing installation across so Windows, your applications and your files come back exactly as they were. If the original drive is already failing we run a recovery pass first — logical recovery starts at ₹1,999 and we charge nothing if nothing is recovered.
Is a hard drive ever the right choice now?
Only for bulk storage. If you need three or four terabytes for photo or video archives, a hard drive is far cheaper per terabyte. But it should sit alongside an SSD holding Windows, never be the only drive in a working machine.
